Federal Skilled Worker Program - Canada

This program is for the candidates who are selected for permanent residents based on their abilities to economically grow and establish in Canada.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to qualify the Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program, the applicant must qualify the criteria:

• The candidate should have minimum one year of experience in the past 10 years under a skilled occupations and it must be full time
• Either the candidate can have already job offer from a Canadian employer.
• A candidate must have completed 2 years of study from any acknowledgeable Canadian institutions, it could be a PhD or a PhD in Canada and
• English and French are the official languages of Canada and to qualify this criteria the candidate have to pass a language eligibility exam for one of the languages.

The applicants have to pass the criteria by meeting all the above mentioned points and must also obtain at least 67 points.

Expression of interest

Once you fulfill the above mentioned criteria after that you must express your interests to immigrate to Canada and for that you have to create an online profile. The important information of yours required is education, language skills, work experience, age, arranged employment and other personal information.

Improve Ranking under Comprehensive Ranking System

When the government of Canada conducts regular draws, the candidates get an invitation to apply for Permanent Residency only if they are ranked higher. Hence, the candidate should improve their score to get an offered invitation for Permanent Residency.

Invitation to Apply

CIC through Express Entry selection system selects the candidates and invite them to apply for Permanent Residency.

When you receive the invitation you have to submit the complete application with all the required documents within the time span of 60 days. The submission of the complete application accounted as an acceptance by CIC. Afterwards, you will receive an Acknowledgment or Receipt AOR issued by CIC once all the documents and application is crosschecked which denotes your eligibility for the program.

Medical Examination and Security Check

All the candidates must undergo medical examination which includes usual physical exam, X-rays, blood tests and urine tests to check the medical health of the candidate so that it cannot affect the citizens of Canada.

Application Review

Canadian immigration visa officer analyze candidate’s application, they evaluate the e-application along with all the documents under the criteria determined by the Government of Canada.

Passport and Right of Permanent Resident Fee

To issue a Canada immigration visa, Federal Skilled Worker Government Processing Fees along with the candidate’s passport is requested by the Government for the right of Permanent Residency.
